Maintenance Manager (F&B and Theme Park)

To plan, repair, upgrade, and renovate works required for facilities, furnishings, and equipment, maintaining them at a high degree of efficiency and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, oversee, and handle all aspects of maintenance works.
2. Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times when carrying out duties.
3. Ensure that maintenance work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimum disruption to guests and members of the public.
4. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
5. Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff with weekly updates to supervisor.
6. Monitor equipment inventory, place orders when necessary, and submit monthly inventory records.
7. Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance, including utilities expenses.
8. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.

JOB DUTIES

1. Plan repairs, upgrading, and renovations for the outlets and theme park.
2. Liaise with contractors and TNB on shop lot renovation and power supply applications as per renovation manual.
3. Arrange and ensure periodic preventive maintenance work is carried out as per schedule.
4. Schedule, supervise, and lead a team of maintenance staff in completing assigned duties within the outlets and theme park.
5. Service and maintain all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions.
6. Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
7. Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1. Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Building).
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience and exposure as a Maintenance Manager, preferably in hospitality, hotel, or theme park.
3. Possess good leadership skills and able to lead and organize a team of subordinates specializing in maintenance/repair (facilities & machinery).
4. Good self-discipline, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
5. Adequate supervision and leadership skills.
6. Able to perform shift work, including Sundays and public holidays, and willing to work long hours.
7. Good team player.
8. Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
9. Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
