Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the maintenance team and coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Ensure all machines and equipment in the factory are in good working condition through preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Oversee and ensure timely repair of breakdown machines and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and production performance.
• Monitor and maintain the power station to ensure stable and efficient operations.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring that all parts are genuine, properly stored, and readily available for repairs and maintenance.
• Plan and oversee the installation and modification of machines and equipment to improve production efficiency.
• Investigate technical issues and equipment failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory specifications, including TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad), Machinery Department, JBA (Jabatan Bekalan Air), and Fire Safety Regulations.
• Ensure the firefighting system is well-maintained and operational at all times.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including OSHA and factory safety regulations.
• Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and conduct internal quality audits with the audit team.
• Motivate, train, and guide subordinates to enhance their technical skills and ensure they meet daily operational and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers for preventive maintenance services and emergency repairs.
• Approve and manage subordinates' administrative matters such as leave applications, purchase requisitions for consumables, stock requests, and department cost reports.
• Promote and enforce good housekeeping practices and safety awareness in the maintenance department and across the factory floor.
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance.
• 5–10 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in aluminium extrusion, powder coating, anodizing etc.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems in an extrusion plant.
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC machines, and automation is a plus.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in Malaysia (DOSH, OSHA, FMA 1967, etc.).
