Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
Experience in port equipment maintenance (e.g., reach stackers, forklifts, prime movers, terminal tractors, and other vehicles) is highly advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The roles are to support the various responsibilities of the Port Equipment Department including:
Prepare and execute preventative maintenance programs for all port equipment.
Manage work orders requests, develop time estimates, ensure efficient resource allocation and timely task completion.
Schedule and execute periodic equipment inspections, troubleshoot, investigate equipment breakdowns, and monitor overall equipment performance.
React with high urgency to any downtime or equipment breakdown and take immediate actions to rectify issues while ensuring quality standards are met.
Oversee inventory management and parts procurement processes.
Liaise with vendors and consultants to resolve complex equipment-related issues.
Support equipment lifecycle management, including assisting with the replacement of equipment and parts as needed.
Supervise technical staff to optimize work efficiency and maintain proper maintenance operations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry best practices in all maintenance activities.
