Job Summary

The role will involve overseeing plant maintenance activities, ensuring equipment efficiency and safety, and supporting continuous improvement in production processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This position combines technical expertise in process engineering with the responsibility for managing documentation, optimizing workflows, and ensuring effective communication of deployments to stakeholders for greater efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Equipment Support:
   • Oversee and manage the maintenance of all plant equipment, ensuring it runs efficiently and effectively.
   • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
   • Perform regular preventive maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring its readiness and reliability for continuous operation.
   • Work closely with production teams to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
2. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
   • Support process improvements by analyzing plant equipment and processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing corrective actions.
   • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing maintenance costs, improving equipment reliability, and increasing plant productivity.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and monitor their effectiveness.
3. Documentation & Compliance:
   • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
   • Ensure that all maintenance processes and procedures comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
   • Update and manage technical documentation, including equipment manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance logs.
4. Production Support:
   • Monitor and ensure that plant equipment operates according to production schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
   • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring they meet operational requirements and industry standards.
   • Work with the production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve any equipment-related issues that may impact production processes.
5. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:
   • Maintain effective communication with plant managers, production teams, maintenance staff, and senior leadership regarding maintenance activities.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes in equipment and maintenance processes.
   • Provide technical support and guidance to team members, ensuring that all staff are well-trained in equipment maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance engineering, plant operations, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with process optimization techniques and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving efficiency.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across different departments.
