Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Must demonstrate ability to program and operate CNC milling (3 Axis & 5 Axis).
2. Ability to make design modifications and programs using UG NX CAD/CAM software.
3. Knowledge in CNC milling G & M codes and cutting tools.
4. Ability to design 3D & 2D jigs and fixtures.
5. Ability to plan and prioritize the workload.
6. Improvise, adapt, and adhere to tooling design standards.
7. Report any environmental and health and safety issues that arise.
8. Oversee the cutting process, making adjustments throughout each job, catching mistakes as they happen, and taking necessary measures to eliminate errors.
9. Responsible for making adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut, ensuring the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing a quality product.
10. Recognize improper machine functioning and identify defects in machinery, measuring instruments, or equipment.
11. Inspect and measure parts to maintain drawing specifications.
12. Ensure ERIM & TPM standards are properly deployed and used by the team.
13. Perform side operations as required (e.g., deburring, tapping) while CNC is running.
14. Maintain good 5S practices, ensuring a clean work area and machine.
15. Efficiently make Kaizen cards and implement productivity and cost-saving improvements / MOB.
16. Participate in QRQC, monitor TRS and TRP for CNC Milling.
17. Establish the standard for CNC milling machining methods and programs.
18. Support of tool design 3D modification and program offset, including any engineering change.
19. Apply safety rules with immediate reaction & escalation in case of detected deviation, dangerous situations, or safety risks.
20. Create and respect work instructions, keeping all records and databases updated to ensure accuracy of information.
