Machinist cum Production Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Machinist

1. Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping material for machining.
2. Reviews drawings, instructions, and samples to ensure accurate production.
3. Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
4. Programs and runs CNC milling machine.
5. Supports carrying out Factory Acceptance Test for machining parts.
6. Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
7. Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
8. Maintains machine and parts in good condition.
9. Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
10. Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
11. Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Production & Warehouse

1. Ensures the required material, consumables, and equipment are available for production, and the factory is safe for all workers.
2. Responsible for stock-take in warehouse.
3. Responsible for all logistics movements for equipment and consumables project related to items including mobilization and demobilization of materials for all projects.
4. Prepares Delivery Order for outgoing items from warehouse.
5. Delivers and picks up material, consumables, and equipment if needed.
6. Responsible for the setup and preparation of all equipment and tools before, during, and after work period.
7. Maintains good housekeeping of warehouse and outside building.
8. Handles goods receiving.
9. Performs any other duties as instructed from time to time.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Prefer at least 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing, especially in steel or metal production.
• Able to understand drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Able to work overtime if necessary.
