Job Description

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the customer service function and the logistics/procurement control function of the plant located in Bukit Mertajam.

Responsibilities

1. Preparing quotations to customers;
2. Customers’ orders fulfilment;
3. Handling of customers’ VMI (Vendor Management Inventory);
4. Order entries into plant’s ERP system;
5. Execution of shipments to customers (packing/palletizing, generation of invoices & delivery orders and other shipping documents);
6. Liaison with shipping agents (truck drivers, forwarders) for on-time delivery;
7. Sourcing of new suppliers, service providers and shipping agents;
8. Assist in DG shipment;
9. Preparation of production materials purchasing plan and issuance of orders to materials suppliers;
10. Monitoring of suppliers' committed deliveries schedules;
11. Support all purchasing functions including RFQ (request for quote), pricing comparison and negotiations, issuance of PO and other follow-ups;
12. Handling imports and export documentation;
13. Assist in filling reports required by LMW (Local Manufacturing Warehouse).

Qualifications

1. Experience: Minimum 3 years (preferably in manufacturing environment);
2. Education: Minimum SPM. STPM / Diploma (preferred added advantage);
3. Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Supply Chain;
4. Knowledge in LMW status / Customs procedures;
5. Computer skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Experience in large ERP system (SAP/Oracle) is preferred;
6. Language Skills: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
