Job Description

The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is now Altera, an Intel Company. Altera prioritizes customers with end-to-end FPGAs, accessible AI, software, and supply resilience.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

We're actively looking for two (2) logistics managers to join PSG.

Data and Process Governance & Logistics Sourcing Manager

Data And Process Governance
  1. Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of logistics data.
  2. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Implement and manage process improvements and best practices within the logistics function.
  4. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with IT and data management teams to enhance data quality and integration.
Logistics Sourcing Management
  1. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics services and materials, including transportation, warehousing, and packaging.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure service levels and cost efficiency.
  4. Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing structures.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
Data Analysis And Reporting
  1. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Prepare and present reports on key metrics, process performance, and sourcing outcomes.
  3. Use data insights to drive decision-making and strategic planning within logistics.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  1. Work closely with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.
  2. Facilitate communication and coordination between logistics teams and external partners.
  3. Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to improve logistics processes and sourcing practices.
Risk Management
  1. Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, process inefficiencies, and supplier performance.
  2. Develop contingency plans and strategies to address potential disruptions in logistics operations.
Trade Operations, Transport, and Reverse Logistics Manager

Trade Operations Management
  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of international trade, including import and export activities, compliance with global trade regulations, and necessary documentation.
  2. Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and timely clearance of goods.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to optimize trade efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
  4. Monitor trade performance metrics and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Transport Management
  1. Design and execute transportation strategies to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  2. Manage relationships with carriers and logistics service providers, negotiating contracts and optimizing routes.
  3. Monitor and assess transportation performance, addressing issues as they arise and implementing corrective actions.
  4. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Reverse Logistics Management
  1. Oversee the reverse logistics process, including the handling of returns, repairs, recycling, and disposal of products.
  2. Develop and enforce policies and procedures for efficient reverse logistics operations.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to effectively manage and resolve reverse logistics issues.
  4. Analyze reverse logistics data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
3PL/4PL Management
  1. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL) providers to ensure high-quality service and performance.
  2. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and address any issues with 3PL/4PL partners.
  3. Evaluate 3PL/4PL performance and collaborate with providers to implement improvements and innovations.
KPI Management
  1. Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to trade operations, transportation, and reverse logistics.
  2. Use KPI data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  3. Analyze performance trends, identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Compliance And Safety
  1. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to trade, transportation, and reverse logistics.
  2. Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement
  1. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in trade, transportation, and reverse logistics.
  2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications
  1. Data and Process Governance & Logistics Sourcing Manager
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional - CSCP) preferred.
  3. Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics management, data governance, or process improvement roles.
  4. Proven experience in sourcing and supplier management within a logistics context.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Excellent understanding of logistics processes, data governance principles, and sourcing strategies.
  7. Proficiency in data analysis tools and logistics management software (e.g., ERP systems, data visualization tools).
  8. Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and lead projects to successful completion.
  1. Trade Operations, Transport, and Reverse Logistics Manager
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  3. Certification(s) such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) would be an asset.
  4. Minimum of 15 years of experience in trade operations, transportation management, and reverse logistics.
  5. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, transportation logistics, and reverse logistics processes.
  6. Experience managing 3PL/4PL relationships and leveraging KPI data for performance improvement.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TMS) and ERP systems.
