Job Overview

We are looking for a driven and strategic Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse and logistics operations. This is an exciting opportunity to optimize warehousing and distribution efficiency, enhance delivery performance, and drive cost-effective logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will oversee warehouse management, fleet operations, and process improvements while ensuring seamless coordination across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including goods receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
  • Develop and implement effective warehouse processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

2. Logistics and Fleet Management:

  • Manage the scheduling and routing for collections and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Fleet management: monitor transportation costs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance to optimize logistics operations.

3. Strategic planning, leadership and process improvement:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Logistics and Warehouse Department in alignment with the company's overall goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy as well as cost optimization in the logistics and warehouse functions.
  • Analyze warehouse and logistics data, such as delivery times and order accuracy, to identify trends, address issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of warehouse and logistics strategies with sales, purchasing, and production departments.
  • Build and lead a high-performing warehouse and logistics team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Monitor the metrics and analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for top management, providing insights into operational performance, cost analysis, and process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
  • Experience in fleet management, including cost control, routing optimization, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and performance evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor logistics metrics and generate strategic reports.
  • Proficiency in logistics management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, and production.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
