Job description
Key Responsibilities :
Cross-border Operations: Coordinate the logistics and transfer of parts, machinery, and
materials between China and Malaysia, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Customs & Compliance: Manage all customs documentation, clearance processes, and
compliance with regulations in both China and Malaysia.
Regional Taxation Incentives: Identify and implement regional taxation incentives to minimize
operational costs, liaising with relevant government bodies to secure
approvals.
Supply Chain Optimization: Develop and maintain supply chain strategies to streamline the
shipment of products to customers in Europe and North America.
Freight & Shipment Coordination: Oversee shipping schedules and work closely with third-party
logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely product delivery and cost-effective
transportation solutions.
Inventory & Warehousing: Monitor inventory levels, ensuring the availability of stock to
meet production schedules while optimizing storage and transportation costs.
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with logistics providers,
customs brokers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, identifying
areas for improvement in cost efficiency, lead times, and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience :
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain
management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for effective
communication between China and Malaysia.
Customs & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Malaysia’s customs regulations, regional
taxation incentives, and cross-border logistics between China and Malaysia.
Supply Chain Systems: Experience with supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and
familiarity with inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues in logistics processes, with a
focus on cost savings and process efficiency.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage
documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with logistics providers and ability to
build relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills :
Experience in automotive parts logistics or
similar high-demand manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of free trade zone regulations in
Malaysia and incentives for exporting to Europe and North America is a plus.
Prior experience with logistics in a
multinational environment, handling shipments to international markets.
