Logistic & Procurement Executive

About the role

The company is seeking a Logistic & Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing the logistics and procurement functions to support the growth and operations of our manufacturing business.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, spare parts and other necessary supplies to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
• Liaise with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and assist to manage relationships to secure the best prices and terms for the company.
• Develop and implement efficient logistics and distribution plans to streamline the movement of goods and materials.
• Monitor and analyse procurement and logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement and logistics activities with the overall business strategy.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies related to procurement and logistics.

What we're looking for

• A Degree / Diploma in Business Administration / Logistics or a relevant business degree is a minimum.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills to secure favourable deals and maintain productive supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
• Familiarity with relevant procurement and logistics software and systems.
• Ability to communicate in the Mandarin language is preferred but not mandatory; due to the need of communicating & cooperating with suppliers from overseas.
