Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Coordination:
   • Schedule and coordinate the delivery of solar panels and inverters to customer locations, ensuring that all materials are on-site before the scheduled installation day.
   • Liaise with logistics partners to arrange the most efficient and safe delivery routes and times.
   • Communicate delivery schedules to internal teams, including installation managers and contractors.
2. Partner Communication & Management:
   • Maintain close working relationships with logistics partners to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
   • Negotiate delivery timelines and troubleshoot any scheduling conflicts or disruptions.
3. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
   • Quickly respond to and resolve issues such as faulty materials or missed delivery windows.
   • Arrange additional truck rolls or alternative transport solutions when necessary to prevent installation delays.
   • Maintain a contingency plan for unexpected delivery disruptions.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
   • Keep accurate records of delivery schedules, completed deliveries, and any issues that arise.
   • Prepare and submit reports on delivery performance, delays, and problem resolutions to the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager.
   • Track inventory status and provide updates on material availability for upcoming installations.
5. Safety & Compliance:
   • Ensure that all deliveries comply with safety standards and regulations.
   • Work with logistics partners to guarantee the safe handling and transport of solar panels and inverters.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in logistics coordination, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with logistics partners and internal teams.
• Organization: Exceptional organizational skills to manage schedules, coordinate deliveries, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and develop solutions for unexpected delivery issues.
• Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules and deadlines.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in delivery scheduling and documentation.
