Ministry of Defence – Physiotherapist – Gloucester
Dream Medical are currently working with a Medical Centre within the Ministry of Defence in Gloucester that require a full-time Physiotherapist on a fixed long term contract. Hours of work are 37.5 hours/week Monday - Friday for a fixed long term contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work with some patients and their families/carers over a period of weeks or months to identify and treat their physical problem.
2. Develop and review treatment programmes, along with patients themselves, that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques.
3. Assist patients with joint and spinal problems, including following surgery.
4. Help patients' rehabilitation following accidents, injury, and strokes.
5. Assist in the supervision and education of student and junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy support workers.
6. Write patient case notes and reports and collect statistics.
7. Educate patients and their carers about how to prevent and/or improve conditions.
8. Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.
9. Communicate with a wide range of patients, carers, and health and social care team members.
10. Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention.
11. Be legally responsible and accountable.
12. Be caring, compassionate, and professional at all times.
13. Manage clinical risk.

Note: Experience working within the Ministry of Defence is essential as training will not be provided.

Salary is dependent on experience and is negotiable.
