Live Streaming Cameraman / Video Editor

We are a fast-growing startup building a live e-commerce platform from the ground up. We are dedicated to enhancing customer experience through innovative content and formats. We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor/Videographer to join our team, responsible for planning, shooting, and post-producing video content related to our live e-commerce operations. Your work will play a critical role in delivering high-quality live-streaming and e-commerce content.

Responsibilities:

1. Video Planning and Shooting:
   • Plan video content based on operational needs, including live-stream previews, product showcases, and promotional campaigns.
   • Independently execute video shoots.
2. Post-Production Editing:
   • Handle post-production tasks, including editing, color grading, special effects, subtitles, and voiceovers.
   • Ensure the final output meets high-quality standards and aligns with the brand style.
3. Live Content Optimization:
   • Collaborate with the live-streaming team to optimize video materials related to live streams.
   • Edit highlight reels for promotional purposes.
4. Creative Content Development:
   • Create trendy and engaging video content based on platform trends (e.g., TikTok, Douyin, Facebook, Xiaohongshu).
   • Enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
5. Equipment Management and Maintenance:
   • Manage video shooting equipment, conduct regular inspections, and maintain equipment to ensure smooth operations.
6. Team Project Collaboration:
   • Work closely with other teams, such as operations and design, to fulfill various video requirements and improve overall content quality.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Diploma or higher in Media, Film Production, Visual Arts, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in video shooting and editing. Experience in live-streaming or e-commerce content production is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in video editing and effects software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
  • Familiarity with video equipment (e.g., cameras, stabilizers, lighting equipment) and strong composition and camera operation skills.
  • Understanding of content trends and regulations on platforms such as TikTok, Douyin, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to quickly adapt to market trends and create platform-relevant video content.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and complete tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Malay (proficiency in Chinese is a plus).
