What You Will Do

A regional role (ASEAN-focused) to build and execute strategies for license compliance. You will be responsible for implementing measures to protect Trimble’s Architecture and Design line of products’ intellectual property rights and software copyrights by cooperatively working with our customers and/or partners to ensure contractual license compliance. This role aims to assist our customers and/or partners in achieving and maintaining compliance with software license usage.

You will work with customers, distribution partners, and compliance agencies to resolve license compliance issues within designated territories. You will ensure the proper capture of license and maintenance revenue for Trimble while preserving the overall relationship between all the parties involved.

You will be responsible for negotiating and researching agencies and practices to employ localized activity in designated countries of ASEAN. This includes:

Agency Management:

• Work with License Compliance agencies to plan and conduct license reviews to ensure software is used/distributed in compliance with the associated license agreements. This includes negotiation and cooperation with internal legal representatives if required.

Overall responsibilities for programmatically driving License Compliance:

• Interpret license agreements and maintenance renewal records by conducting license reconciliations.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of Trimble Architecture and Design environments to provide license analysis and guidance.
• Work with Sales/License Compliance agencies/partners and the customer to resolve issues identified in the compliance report(s).
• Provide licensing education to internal and external customers.
• Drive enhancements to the license report collection and analysis process.
• Explore new processes and procedures to increase the success of the compliance initiatives.
• Drive performance of the License Compliance agencies.

Responsibilities related to the LC Strategy build-up:

• Help study the local environment as we evolved the LC model and what approach would be effective yet still maintain the global LC policy guidelines for the A&D team.
• Work closely with the ASEAN team to help build an LC strategy aligned with the channels model.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Minimum three years experience in license compliance business execution.
• Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience in working with C-level leadership.
• Strong analytical and research skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with and a strong understanding of software license agreements.
• Ability to analyze and interpret key relationships and concepts.
• Ability to relate smaller concepts to the overall 'big picture.'
• Ability to work independently and ability to focus, and work under pressure.
• Successful management of multiple projects.
• Understanding of the software industry is a must.
• Existing relationships with compliance agencies are an advantage.
• Experience in working with a distribution channel is an advantage.

Primarily supporting our customers in Malaysia, you will be based in our new Trimble office in Mid-Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, along with the rest of our Malaysia team (currently around 21 people). Our Malaysia office has an exciting team environment where people love working with leading technology solutions.
