We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in the role of Legal & Secretarial Executive. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of integrity, ensuring compliance with governance laws, and enhancing the efficiency of our systems. Key responsibilities include:
To render advice on legal, compliance, regulatory and risk management such as but without limitation to employment and labour law, corporate governance and liability, and MACC advisory.
To assist in the organisation’s disputes/ litigation cases.
To provide legal research, advice and recommendations regarding matters of law and corporate risk and compliance.
To prepare Board/ Committee meeting papers on legal matters.
To attend meetings held internally with other departments and externally.
Ensure proper filing and keeping track of all legal and statutory records, files and agreements.
To arrange and ensure timely submission of statutory forms, returns and notifications in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2016 and other authorities.
To support and carry out ad hoc tasks, projects, and assignments which may from time to time be required by the Head of Legal & Secretarial Division.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Law (LLB) or Risk Management or other relevant field of studies.
Experience in compliance-related roles will be an added advantage.
Systematic and disciplined.
Team player with good communication skills and committed to assigned tasks.
Able to work with minimum supervision and yet provide regular updates as necessary.
Able to prioritize workload effectively and deliver on ambitious timelines.
