Legal Officer (Legal Advisory & Documentation)

JOB DESCRIPTION

CORPORATE AND COMMERCIAL

1. Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on both conventional and Islamic investment related agreements and legal documents for EPF, which include domestic and foreign financing, acquisition and disposal of real estate properties, private equity, infrastructure, bonds, sukuk, listed equity, and treasury.
2. Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on ancillary agreements related to EPF’s investments, such as confidentiality agreements, service agreements, and memorandum of understanding.
3. Provide legal advisory services and legal opinions on the interpretation of provisions under the legal documentation or any matters incidental to EPF investments.
4. Conduct legal research related to EPF investments.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Malaysia citizen.
2. Obtain at least a credit in Malay Language and English including an oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Government.
3. Possess a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB) or equivalent LLB qualifications from any local or overseas higher learning institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
4. Have at least 2 years of experience and the relevant skillset required for the job description set out above. Candidates with expertise and experience in the job description set out herein is an advantage. Hands-on exposure in mergers and acquisitions are an added advantage.
5. Ability to communicate complex legal concepts and issues clearly and effectively.
6. Able to express thoughts and opinions clearly and concisely in writing.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
8. Highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
9. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
10. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
11. Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
