Legal Manager (Contracts & Legal Compliance)

Cara Com My Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Legal Manager to oversee all legal matters, including project contracts, client agreements, and HR-related legal compliance. This role ensures the company is legally protected from contract risks and employment-related issues while liaising with external legal consultants when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract & Corporate Legal Matters:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the company from risks.
2. Liaise with external legal consultants for complex legal matters.
3. Ensure compliance with business regulations, industry standards, and corporate laws.
4. Advise management on legal risks and provide risk mitigation strategies.
5. Handle contract disputes and legal conflicts with clients or partners.

Employment Legal Compliance:

1. Ensure compliance with labor laws regarding hiring, termination, and workplace policies.
2. Review and draft employee contracts, NDAs, and company policies.
3. Guide HR on proper termination procedures to avoid legal issues.
4. Handle workplace disputes and mediate employment-related legal matters.
5. Stay updated on employment regulations to ensure HR policies remain compliant.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law, contract law, and employment law.
3. Strong knowledge of employment regulations, labor laws, and contract negotiations.
4. Experience in IT, software development, smart solutions, or network contracts is a plus.
5. Ability to work independently and establish legal policies from scratch.
