About the Company
This organisation is a conglomerate in Malaysia, with over five decades of combined experience in the industry, involved in the design and construction of a diverse range of projects. These include high-rise buildings, health-care facilities, retail, and infrastructure.

About the Job

  • Provide legal support and advice across all divisions of the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws in areas such as property development and construction.

  • Draft, review, and finalise a range of agreements, including but not limited to purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, and service contracts.

  • Manage and coordinate with external counsels handling various legal matters like sales and purchases, land acquisitions, and joint ventures.

  • Assist the HR Department with industrial relations matters, including conducting investigations, advising on domestic inquiry procedures, and supporting or participating in Domestic Inquiries when necessary.

  • Support the legal aspects of the company's restructuring initiatives, including the restructuring of subsidiaries and affiliated entities.

  • Foster relationships with international stakeholders, particularly in the USA and Hong Kong, to support collaboration on international projects. Assist in ensuring legal compliance in cross-border matters.

  • Provide legal support in managing financing arrangements, including project financing, term loans, bridging loans, and debentures. Work closely with financial institutions, external solicitors, and internal teams to ensure compliance.

  • Work alongside the Company Secretary on all corporate governance matters, including the preparation and circulation of urgent directors' and shareholders' resolutions.

About the Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
  • At least 5 years PQE
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Capable of working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and high integrity.
