Legal Executive, Boost Holdings

Boost is the fintech arm of Axiata that unifies financial services spanning payments, micro-financing, micro-insurance, cross-border content services, and merchant solutions. • Boost Indonesia - Formerly Aspirasi Indonesia, providing micro-financing business and digital merchant business for various sizes of enterprises in Indonesia.

We are looking for a Contract Admin Executive to assist and attend to the legal aspects of Boost contract management. You will safeguard our reputation by taking steps to ensure that the company strictly follows legal contract guidelines, policies, and contract management and all relevant issues.

The successful candidate will effectively be part of a fast-moving fintech company and will gain experience and exposure relating to fintech laws and fintech business, which are very relevant in the current business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Attend to contract management including preparing inventory list/contract inventory, managing storage, retrieval, and monitoring renewal or termination in a timely manner.
• Attend to contract requests including drafting and reviewing of agreements in a timely manner. Such contracts may include standard professional services agreements.
• Provide support on legal matters to relevant stakeholders across Boost Holdings to ensure that the business activities comply with applicable laws.
• Work closely with Boost legal team, stakeholders across Boost and Axiata group including but not limited to Regulatory, Risk and Compliance, Internal Audit functions and address and mitigate legal, regulatory and compliance risk to ensure such risks are holistically and adequately addressed regarding contract management.
• Ensure the organization's Internal Audit concerns relating to contract documents are addressed.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and devise plans to implement these changes as well as implement/attend to the improvement.
• Any other support required in relation to legal, regulatory and compliance and audit matters to support the growth and development of the business.

• Responsible for providing support to the legal team and business units.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Called to the Malaysian Bar, with at least 3 years in private legal practice.
• Understand commercial laws, commercial needs, and broader business issues.
• Able to conduct research and understand the governing laws, regulatory, and compliance requirements for fintech services.
• Ability to communicate in clear business English.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A problem solver with strong organisation skills; a conscientious and diligent worker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attentive to details, analytical, a quick learner, adaptive, dynamic, and able to grasp new issues quickly.
• Able to work independently and be pro-active.
