Legal Executive

Job Description:

As a Legal Executive, you will be part of an exciting legal team of one of Malaysia’s fastest growing healthcare groups. The role will involve you attending to a mix of both corporate and litigation matters. You will be assisting with all legal matters under the Sunway Healthcare Group which will include: -

• Assisting in medico-legal and litigation matters (drafting, amending, problem solving, case review, patient or family complaints, research, administrative duties);
• Liaising with, instructing and receiving updates from external counsels on debt recovery and litigation matters;
• Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing all agreements/ contracts with legal impact for the company in a timely and accurate manner;
• Performing detailed review and drafting of contracts after legal research and make recommendations;
• Drafting internal and external communication and correspondences in clear, concise language and addressing relevant issues;
• Communicating effectively to internal and external parties explaining legal issues and contract terms;
• Managing and keeping oversight of contracts for stamping, renewal and document management with the assistance of a legal assistant; and
• Keeping up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent and admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
• Min 2-3 years’ post qualification experience in recognized and reputable law firms.
• Experience in debt recovery litigation is desirable.
• Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Resourceful and proactive, with excellent analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A good team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable to fast-paced working environment.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office.
