Position Overview
As an Associate - Hire Purchase, Business Division, your role will focus on developing and expanding the hire purchase (HP) portfolio, with an initial emphasis on auto financing. You will be responsible for engaging with partners, including used car dealers, to acquire new clients and promote HP loan products. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the credit department and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance. This role also involves identifying opportunities to diversify and expand the HP product offerings.

Legal Document Preparation
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, wills, and court forms.
Client Consultation
- Provide legal advice to clients, explaining complex legal matters in understandable terms, and assist in estate planning, property transactions, or business legalities.
Case Research and Management
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze case law, and prepare case files for court proceedings.
Property and Business Transactions
- Assist clients with buying, selling, and developing property, and handle legal aspects of running a business.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other professionals, such as mortgage lenders or planning officers, to achieve desired outcomes.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all legal activities comply with current laws and regulations, and identify potential legal risks to the organization.
Job Requirement :
- 5-10 years experience in relevant industry.
- Possess a Law Degree/a Master’s Degree in Law.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Natural leadership and management skills, including an ability to communicate in an assertive and clear manner to those who have a strong understanding of the law, and those with novice knowledge.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.
- Experience in the legal, insurance, financial services, or will-writing services will be an added advantage.
- Proven knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering / Syariah).
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
