Develop medico-legal policies that align with regulatory standards and the Private Healthcare Services and Facilities Act in Malaysia.
Oversee risk governance by collaborating with Heads of Departments (HODs) on risk management and compliance initiatives.
Provide comprehensive legal advisory and drafting support for business development and expansion projects.
Draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements for commercial transactions.
Offer legal representation, advice, and opinions to monitor and resolve disputes potentially leading to litigation.
Review reports and correspondence with regulatory authorities to protect the organization's and its doctors' interests.
Coordinate with local external legal counsel to safeguard organizational and doctors' interests.
Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Medico-legal teams across entities to ensure a consistent approach.
Job Requirements:
Possess Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB).
At least 3-5 years’ experience in in-house legal counsel roles, specializing in medico-legal relevant working experience or general litigation experience.
Expertise in drafting complex commercial contracts with the capability to provide thorough commercial legal advice to business units internationally.
Fluent in business English, can efficiently draft and mediate to resolve legal disputes.
Clearly and concisely explain legal situations to business persons and non-lawyers.
