Job Description:

1. Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts/legal documentation for transactions and operational matters of SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, in particular, downstream operation.
2. Interpret, analyse, identify, apply and resolve issues arising under the law and regulatory requirements.
3. Providing updates on laws/regulatory matters that affect SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas.
4. Responsible for providing guidance and legal advice to internal stakeholders of SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas, as and when the need arises.
5. Liaising and coordinating with external solicitors on all matters involving SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas, as and when required.
6. Build and maintain a good business relationship with all the various internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the interest of SD Guthrie group of companies.
7. Coach and motivate the legal team to ensure high performance and delivery.
8. To perform and carry out any other responsibilities as and when required by the superior on legal matters involving SD Guthrie Berhad group of companies, both local and overseas.

Requirement:

1. Degree in Law (LLB), Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP).
2. Practiced law for at least 2 years.
3. At least 7 years as an in-house legal counsel in a listed company/multi-national corporation.
4. Experience in plantation industry, construction matters and litigation will be an added advantage.
