about the job

  • Corporate & commercial advisory. Provide strategic legal guidance to the executive team on business decisions, ensuring alignment with goals and laws especially in fin-tech and digital assets.
  • Cross-Border Transactions, taking lead in due diligence for global partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across borders.
  • Advise on corporate governance, ethical standards, and legal risks, ensuring sound decision-making and compliance with best practices.
  • Oversee policies, collaborating with Compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance with international regulations in the rapidly evolving fin-tech and digital asset industries, ensuring proactive engagement with regulators and implementing internal policies to mitigate risk.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage external counsel to defend the company’s interests in disputes.
  • Support global expansion efforts by advising on legal complexities and regulatory considerations for strategic partnerships.
  • Develop policies to mitigate legal risks, ensuring ongoing regulatory adherence and fostering business growth.

about the requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in corporate or commercial law in a law firm or in-house legal department, focusing on high-value contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex agreements such as NDAs, service contracts, partnerships, M&As, and licensing deals.
  • Proven track record of conducting due diligence for cross-border transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Strong background in banking, financial or investment services, fin-tech, digital assets, or technology sectors is preferred.
  • Expertise in relevant regulatory demands such as data privacy, KYC and digital assets is an added advantage.
