• Malaysian citizen/permanent resident with a law degree recognized by the Malaysian Bar Council (e.g., Bachelor of Laws from University of Malaya or Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia).
• Professional Qualification: Passed the Malaysian Bar Examination (CLP) or holds a valid practicing license.
• Proficient in Malay and Chinese (for daily office and court communication); English, with legal English fluency for drafting bilingual legal documents.
• Proficient in civil & commercial laws, capable of independently handling corporate legal affairs including:
• Knowledgeable of MIDA policies and tax incentives for foreign investments.
• Strong stress management and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills for liaison with local authorities and Chinese-funded enterprises.
• Cultural awareness to bridge China-Malaysia business practices.
• Must comply with the Legal Profession Act and attend regular professional development.
• Foreign lawyers require Bar Council registration and are restricted from criminal/civil law practice.
• Chinese national priority to leverage cultural familiarity and communication efficiency.
• Leadership experience in guiding local legal teams is a plus.
