About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Legal Clerk to manage and oversee legal and banking documentation processes. The role involves handling loan securitization matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing administrative support for seamless office operations. If you have experience in conveyancing or the legal sector and are detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, this role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and complete banking documentation and loan securitisation matters (such as Adjudication for Stamp Duty, Perfection of Charge, Deed of Assignment, Discharge of Charge, Deed of Receipt & Reassignment, and Caveats) from initial stage until completion.
  • Manage and monitor progress of files, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Peruse and review all legal and corporate documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Assist in daily administrative tasks, including file safekeeping, maintaining proper file inventories, preparation of status reports, and implementing processes for effective management and organization.
  • Follow up on operational matters and ensure all actions are completed by related parties.
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the office by providing support in all administrative tasks.
  • Undertake various special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as required.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or SPM.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in conveyancing.
  • Experience in the legal sector is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Keen attention to detail and meticulousness.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Independent, resourceful, and possess common sense.
  • Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
