Legal Associate

This position requires supporting Mandarin language markets in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle contracts and provide legal advice to different business units in various regional markets.
2. Prepare documentation including basic contract terms, proposals, compliance, proofreading, and modifications.
3. Review and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
4. Advise and identify legal and business risks and exposures associated with their business.
5. Closely liaise with business managers on a wide range of commercial contracts-related legal issues.
6. Maintain a proper filing system for legal and commercial documents.
7. Review corporate documents prepared by external corporate secretary.
8. Liaise with internal and external parties for follow-up.
9. Perform other related tasks as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

1. LLB, PQE 3+ years.
2. Experience in in-house would be highly desired.
3. Highly ethical, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
4. Independent, meticulous, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work requiring little or no checking.
5. Able to manage large amounts of documents, prioritize assignments, multitask, and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
6. Proficient with MS Office applications.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Traditional Chinese).
