Oversee and manage the legal affairs of the group and provide legal support in all corporate, legal, secretarial as well as operations.
Manage legal and compliance services to align with the commercial requirements set forth by the management.
Manage and resolve legal issues or disputes internally such as employer-employee issues or with third parties such as contractors, suppliers, or purchasers.
Handle and manage litigation cases including liaison with external solicitors.
Assist in monitoring company's compliance with statutory requirements, by-laws, regulations, authorities' rulings as well as Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
Lead in major sales and purchase transactions, corporate restructuring, due diligence processes, acquisition, and administration of security documentation.
Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions on matters relating to potential business projects and daily operations of the Company.
Attend tribunals and hearings relating to industrial relations and labor disputes as and when required.
Liaise and coordinate with external law firms for civil suits and related disputes.
Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Law (LL.B).
Experience in property conveyancing, litigation, general corporate matters, industrial relations, and construction.
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (to deal with China parties).
At least 5-6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Legal Manager position may be considered subject to candidate's experience.
