Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Legal Assistant / Conveyancing Lawyer to join our distinguished team at LIM SOH & GOONTING (JOHOR BAHRU BRANCH) based in Iskandar Puteri Johor. As a full-time member of our firm, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal services and support to our clients within the property law domain.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting legal research and providing comprehensive analysis to support our conveyancing practice
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of property-related legal documents and contracts
• Assisting with property transactions, including title searches, property transfers, and mortgage registrations
• Advising clients on property-related legal matters and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborating with the broader legal team to deliver exceptional client service and support
• Staying up-to-date with changes in property law and regulations to maintain our firm's expertise

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a conveyancing or property law role, preferably within a reputable law firm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and databases to support your work
