Job description

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our legal team as a Legal Executive. As a Legal Executive in our company, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal department in various contract and legal tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in legal draftings, contracts and possess good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the legal department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files and documents.
  2. Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements including but not limited to Tenancy Agreement, NDA, MOU, legal letters, etc., ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
  3. Assist in giving legal advice to the company on various legal matters to help them understand their legal risks, rights, responsibilities, and potential courses of action.
  4. Assist in coordinating with internal departments, external legal counsel, and stakeholders to gather and exchange information relevant to ongoing projects.
  5. Assist in maintaining and updating legal databases, records, and files, ensuring proper organization and confidentiality.
  6. Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence as required.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance to the legal team and project stakeholders.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to support legal initiatives and contribute to the efficient operation of the legal department.

Job Requirement

  1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field including para-legal & experienced legal clerk.
  2. Familiarity with construction contracts & corporate agreements would be advantageous.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with less supervision.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
