To vet, amend and draft the legal documents including but not limited to the agreements and contracts.
To analyse the legal issues and advise the best action and the consequences of the action taken.
Engage with the external lawyers for the litigation actions to settle the legal disputes.
Draft the company policy including but not limited to the employment handbook.
Conduct research for any matters related to legal and compliance.
Issue letters of demand to the clients with outstanding payments.
Insurance Matter:
Submit insurance claims for damages to customers' goods during transportation.
Review insurance coverage and ensure that the sums insured are adequate during policy renewals.
Secretarial Matters:
Engage with the company secretary for secretarial matters including preparation of director resolution, annual returns, beneficial ownership report and any related documents.
Compliance Matters:
Conduct compliance risk meetings and propose countermeasures to address risks. Submit quarterly report to Japan HQ office.
Assist in internal audits to ensure ISO compliance.
Ensure timely renewal of agreements and licenses, such as the Personal Data Protection (PDP) license.
Administration Matters:
Provide administrative support to the HR and other departments in drafting official letters.
Coordinate the ordering of business cards and manage other office supplies.
Requirements:
1 - 2 years relevant experience in legal and administrative functions.
Fresh graduates or junior level are most welcome.
Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Proficient in both English and Bahasa Melayu, with strong communication and drafting skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience in handling insurance claims will be an added advantage.
