Are you an experienced Process Engineer with a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions in the oil and gas sector? We are seeking a skilled Lead Process Engineer to take charge of the engineering deliverables for a major project, driving success from concept to completion.

About the Role

As the Lead Process Engineer, you will independently define critical deliverables, manage engineering resources, and ensure the project’s technical requirements are met efficiently and on time. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality process systems for large-scale industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the preparation of process simulation studies, design calculations, and datasheet reviews, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications.
2. Guide Engineers and Senior Engineers to develop and validate engineering specifications, such as drawings and datasheets, ensuring alignment with project requirements before finalising for tenders.
3. Oversee the evaluation of technical bids for process and utility packages, assessing suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications and timely delivery.
4. Review and check draft documents and drawings from the team, ensuring that accurate specifications are delivered to vendors for smooth project execution.
5. Independently manage and resolve technical and engineering challenges, using data analysis and industry knowledge to find effective solutions and prevent potential problems.
6. Visit suppliers, review test results for process equipment, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure equipment meets specifications and is delivered on time.
7. Participate in project meetings, monitor progress, and resolve any issues to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
8. Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and ensure all objectives are achieved.
9. Provide technical support to site teams during construction and commissioning, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring a seamless transition to operational status.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 12 years’ experience in process engineering within the oil and gas sector, with direct experience on large-scale projects (FPSO/FSO experience is advantageous).
2. Degree in Process Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree holders require a minimum of 11 years’ experience).
3. Strong knowledge of industry standards, engineering procedures, and technical specifications relevant to process systems.
4. Proficiency with process simulation software and various engineering tools (e.g., for flare system hydraulics, piping system analysis, fire water systems, and separation vessels).
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills to effectively manage projects and teams.
