Our client is a market-leading Financial Institution striving for Digital innovation.
Responsible for designing, developing and implementing emerging big data analytics capabilities and scalable data engineering solutions through the development and maintenance of advanced data ingestion, processing, modeling and reporting.
Identify, acquire, load and transform data deploying scripting languages and tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, etc.).
Lead and support data scientists and solutionists by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up and recovery specifications and strategy.
Build and develop analytics tools utilizing data pipelines into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics - the key is to provide actionable insights and meaningful visualizations.
Proven experience (> 5 years) in data science roles, preferably within the banking or financial industry.
Extensive experience in the complete modeling lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and continual monitoring and maintenance.
Proficient in Python, R, Hadoop & Teradata or other statistical and scientific packages.
Preferably has experience in machine learning engineering and is familiar with data visualization techniques using one or more packages such as PowerBI.
Strong leadership abilities and experiences (> 3 years leading a team).
Independent in identifying business needs without explicit requirements and translating stakeholder requirements into well-defined specifications and data structure design.
Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and perform work under pressure in meeting individual/team goals within tight deadlines.
Data-driven, with excellent analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
Highly flexible with strong commitment and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving ability, good language and communication skills (verbal and written), and high proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
