Lead Data Management Engineer (Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

Role Purpose

The Lead Data Management Engineer will oversee and guide the information management activities across the organization, including data management, document control, engineering design system administration, and CMMS database build. This role requires a strong leadership capability to manage a team of 80+ information management professionals, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and efficiency in projects and corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Information Management Strategy & Policy Development
   • Develop and implement information management policies and standards aligned with organizational goals.
   • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
   • Define and monitor KPIs for information management performance, implementing continuous improvements.
2. Leadership & Team Management
   • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 80+ professionals across multiple information management functions.
   • Provide guidance, performance evaluation, and career development for team members.
   • Allocate resources effectively for project and corporate requirements.
3. Information Management Operations & Execution
   • Oversee data management, document control, engineering design system administration, and CMMS database building across projects.
   • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget by providing necessary support and guidance.
   • Lead proposal activities related to information management, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
   • Ensure the quality and integrity of all information management processes.
4. Systems & Technology
   • Oversee the selection, development, operation, and maintenance of information management systems.
   • Ensure that tools and technologies used are aligned with industry best practices and organizational needs.
   • Provide training and support on information management principles, tools, and techniques to staff.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance
   • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and corporate teams to integrate information management into projects and operations.
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
• 15+ years of experience in information management, with expertise in:
• Data management
• Document control
• Engineering design system administration
• CMMS database build

• Proven ability to lead and manage large teams (80+ professionals).
