Lead Analyst, Information Technology Management (Network Engineer)

This role is to provide technical expertise in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the organization systems, networks, and hardware. The role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, overseeing the successful execution of infrastructure projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and upgrades. Additionally, the Lead Analyst of Information Technology Management role will mentor junior staff members, ensure best practices are followed, and contribute to strategic planning efforts that align IT infrastructure with the organization's business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of AIA Digital+ Malaysia Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, providing services to an expanded user base of ~800.
2. Ensures the stability, security and performance of servers, networks, and associated systems.
3. Manages and administers servers, both physical and virtual, ensuring optimal functioning.
4. Implements and maintains server security protocols and performs regular system updates.
5. Monitors and manages network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
6. Implements and maintains IT security policies, including access controls and data protection measures.
7. Conducts regular security audits and promptly addresses vulnerabilities.
8. Provides consultation to and collaborates with Group Technology teams to implement and support technology solutions adapted to local requirements.
9. Maintains comprehensive system documentation, including configurations and procedures.
10. Generates reports on system performance, security, and other relevant metrics.
11. Acts as Level 2 support for the IT Service Desk and provides advanced technical support to end users and junior IT staff members.
12. Conducts training sessions to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
13. Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective communication with end users.
14. Researches, proposes, and implements innovations to deliver demonstrable and measurable improvements in service quality and reduce cost of doing business.

Job Requirements:

1. Proven experience in senior IT system administration roles in complex environments.
2. In-depth knowledge of server and network infrastructure, and end user technologies.
3. Experience with virtualisation technologies, e.g., VMware, Hyper-V.
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience in IT infrastructure project coordination.
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to lead and coach junior IT staff members.
8. Good understanding and knowledge of End User Technologies e.g., Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Mobile Device Management (MDM), MacOS etc.
9. Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and services will be a plus.
10. Sound understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
11. Relevant certifications, e.g., Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) etc.
