Land Surveyor

A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Certification or licensing with a recognized professional body, such as Licensed Land Surveyor.

Membership in the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM) is an added advantage.

Expertise in using surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS and Drones.

Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD, GIS or MicroSurvey.

LAND SURVEYOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conducting land surveys using various equipment to measure distances, angles, and elevations, creating maps, and preparing reports.
2. Identifying and marking property boundaries based on legal descriptions, historical records, and physical landmarks.
3. Producing detailed maps showing the natural and man-made features of a property, including elevation changes, roads, buildings, and other structures.
4. Providing precise measurements for construction projects, such as the placement of roads, bridges, buildings, and utilities.
5. Preparing official survey documents, such as boundary reports, land titles, and easements, that are used in legal proceedings or for property transactions.
6. Analyzing geographic data, integrating technologies like GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and creating 3D models or maps for planning and development purposes.
7. Monitoring the changes in land, including land shifts or settlements, and offering advice on land usage, zoning, and potential environmental concerns.
8. Working closely with engineers, architects, and urban planners to ensure accurate land data is incorporated into construction, development, and legal planning processes.
