Altum Precision Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team in Senai, Johor. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested.
• Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report.
• Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results.
• Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results.
• Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and customer requirements to ensure the product integrity is maintained and sustained accordingly.
• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
• Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
• Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field.
• Conduct tests, experiments, and research related to product quality, materials, and processes.
• Perform particle count analysis (Cleanliness) and maintain records.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer-specific cleanliness specifications.
• Maintain and follow Clean Room procedures (SOPs).
• Perform preventive maintenance on cleanliness analysis equipment.
• Troubleshoot testing equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for particle contamination issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.

Qualifications :

• A relevant diploma in Chemistry, Biology or related field.
• A related field experience, strong analytical skills, proficiency in operating laboratory equipment, knowledge of quality control procedures, ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the manufacturing or technology industry.
• Good record-keeping practices, and awareness of chemical safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
• Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of laboratory equipment and procedures.

Other Requirements :

• Good eye-hand coordination, especially in the case of Lab Technicians in the manufacturing field when collecting and preparing specimens/ samples for analysis.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories.
• Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures.
