Laboratory Supervisor

Specific accountabilities and job functions will be but are not limited to:

• To ensure that all the raw materials and finished products conform to an agreed specification that fully meets all the statutory quality requirements.
• Responsible for managing the workers in the section.
• Responsible for maintaining the laboratory consumable item and forms.
• Training of new workers to ensure the right procedures are used.
• Prepare daily quality reports and update data analysis.
• To perform regular maintenance of all lab equipment.
• To perform data maintenance for all lab equipment, esp. XRD/XRF.
• To collect external sample when deemed necessary.
• To provide allocation of clay bay and off standard clinker bay for production followed by updating the off standard clinker in the lab folder daily.
• To conduct internal calibration and verification for LECO Carbon Determinator, Bomb Calorimeter, Blaine air permeability tester, balances, Vicat, prism mold and mixers.
• To prepare monthly moisture report and test report for account before each end month closing.
• To perform daily fused bead monitoring and run monitor samples for XRD/XRF.
• To ensure the housekeeping of the laboratory is always conducted.
• To head the Laboratory in the absence of the Chemist.
