Kitchen Steward

Primary responsibilities include:

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, and pans used by kitchen staff.
• Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
• Ensure the kitchen, including countertops, sinks, floors, and walls, is kept clean and sanitised.
• Regularly clean and disinfect kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
• Arrange and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment properly to maintain an organised and efficient workspace.
• Assist the kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and cleaning vegetables, as needed.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen trash and recycling in a hygienic manner.
• Ensure that trash bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 – 2 years relevant experience within a similar role.
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or dishwasher is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organisation.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions from kitchen supervisors.
• Ability to follow instructions & work independently when required.

International exposure will be considered a plus. You must speak English. Additional languages, such as Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, French and German, are a benefit. We welcome a diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities and religions.
