The Role

• Analyzing programs through executing tests to find errors.
• Providing feedback and recommendations.
• Developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests.
• Creating written reports on program quality.
• Identifying system or application flaws before they become an issue during development.
• Assessing software, products, and systems to ensure quality standards are met.
• Using various testing techniques and advising on system functionality.
• Identifying and rectifying errors in computer hardware and software.
• Ensuring products work efficiently prior to being sold.
• Monitoring product specifications, reviewing documentation, and creating test systems.
• Producing progress reports, preparing presentations, and giving recommendations.

Ideal Profile

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in testing techniques (Black Box, White Box) and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
• Experience in requirement analysis and documenting testing artifacts (Test Plan, Test Cases, etc.).
• Familiarity with banking domain applications (Payments, Loans) and regulatory requirements.
• Design and manage test cases, ensuring adherence to the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Execute and prioritize test cases, accurately report results, perform impact and root cause analysis.
• Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• API testing experience.
• Strong independent and team-based problem-solving skills to meet deadlines.
