About our group:

Johor Bahru Substrate (JBS) Plate Operation is a high technology, chemical-mechanical process responsible for the deposition of Nickel Phosphorus on the Aluminum substrate memory disk in Seagate’s hard drives. We have a 120-odd team of operators, technicians, and engineers running this operation that generates around 100Kpcs of high-quality disks daily. Our team is focused on producing best-in-class quality disks, at the lowest cost, in the safest manner while maintaining the highest level of motivation and integrity. About the role - you will:

1. Perform shift rotation routine tasks and line progress.
2. Prepare the plating chemicals for production utilization.
3. Handle raw plating chemicals of the reservoir located at the plating line.
4. Process the sample analysis of Nickel tanks, Pre plate tanks & Strip tanks.
5. Update sample analysis data into SPC system.
6. Laboratory reagents preparation and process tool calibration.
7. Monitor system on Nickel bath parameters in spec (dash controller & anodic system).
8. Work with equipment and process team for continuous improvement and stability of the tool.
9. Perform continuous improvement on process OEE, Lean Manufacturing, safety hazards reduction, and cost-saving projects.
10. Ensure process flow, specification, procedure, and documentation are in place and in accordance with compliance.
11. Implement effective process control to ensure product and process compliance/conformance.
12. Execute process troubleshooting and follow up on quality issues.

About you:

1. Self-motivated and positive working attitude.
2. A good team player with self-initiative and good problem-solving skills.
3. Willing to work in a clean room environment.
4. Willing to work according to a 12-hour shift pattern, day, and night shift rotation.

Your experience includes:

1. 1 to 2 years of hands-on role in plate process and working in cleanroom will be an advantage. Fresh Diploma holders in any Engineering field (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical are added advantage) are welcome to apply.
2. Certificate holders in Engineering field with at least 1 to 3 years relevant working experience can be considered.
3. Hands-on working background in Process quality troubleshooting.
4. Assisting the Engineer in supporting the process quality improvement.
