Job Purpose

1. Provide Process Engineering technical support to offshore operations with the aim of optimizing production without compromising HSE.
2. Conduct process troubleshooting and de-bottlenecking studies in order to enhance plant operation/production.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support to the offshore operations team as they conduct their day-to-day duties with the aim of optimizing production.
2. Conduct troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking studies, and modification projects on behalf of the Production Operations department.
3. Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and RCA for facilities upgrade and/or modification associated with process operations.
4. Develop and review various procedures relating to process optimization.
5. Involve in the review of process set points with the objective of optimizing production.
6. Carry out facilities improvement proposals (FIP) that will result in enhanced safe, cost-effective operation of HIP.
7. Review and enhance the performance of facilities against operating/design envelopes.
8. Liase with Corrosion Engineer to ensure the technical integrity of process facilities against corrosion/erosion is maintained.
9. Review process-related studies.
10. Participate in PSM, ELMS, and PHR with regard to SK-10.

Qualification, Skills & Knowledge

1. Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering with 3-5 years of experience as a process engineer.
2. Strong motivation to carry out duties in process engineering work for upstream operations.
3. Familiar with Hysys/Unisim process simulation software and other process-related software.
4. Teamwork skills in a Task Force team in any detailed process investigation.
5. Able to carry out tasks with minimal guidance from direct supervisor.
6. Familiar with Petronas Guidelines and industry standards.
