Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Scientist to join our team, reporting to the Plant Science Manager. This role is integral to our research and development efforts, focusing on sustainable agriculture and innovative food production. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of agricultural principles, plant physiology, and horticulture. You will be responsible for data collection, accurate record-keeping, and supporting experimental protocols, while ensuring data quality for research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic understanding of agricultural principles, plant physiology, and horticulture principles.
• Experience with data collection and entry; knowledge of data analysis software (Excel, R, or similar) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in experimental protocols and data recording.
• Excellent communication skills for teamwork and documentation.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and open to learning new skills and technologies.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to finding effective solutions.
• Commitment to sustainable agriculture practices and innovation in food production.

Qualification & Skills:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in any science or engineering field from a reputable university with a strong academic background.
• Experience in plant science research, either through internships, labs, or previous work experience. Familiarity with vertical farming or hydroponic systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in data analysis and record-keeping.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Physically capable of performing tasks that involve standing, lifting, and manual dexterity.
