IT System Design Manager

Role Overview:
As an IT System Design Manager, you will lead our efforts in designing IT systems that meet the project's specifications and requirements. Your expertise in the design of overall IT infrastructure, including server virtualization, network, and data center appliances, will be crucial in driving our project to success. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to IT systems, who can set their own targets aligned with the overall project requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to guide members from multiple teams to achieve the set goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and oversee the implementation of IT systems to meet required specifications, including interfaces to non-IT systems.
2. Propose, negotiate, and agree with the client on test cases during various phases of the project.
3. Lead and manage suppliers and clients towards agreed-upon regular goals, which are aligned with overall project milestones.
4. Lead and manage IT-dependent interfaces with various other systems in the project, supporting their success and contribution to the project.
5. Manage and proactively contribute towards other project governance activities, such as audits, progress reports, and escalations.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT System and Infrastructure Design.
2. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
3. Proven experience in Network Design, Server Virtualization, and typical data center-type application delivery appliances.
4. Ability to work across multiple teams, including internal engineering and non-engineering teams, as well as external customers and suppliers.
5. Willingness to work in Kuching, Sarawak.
