IT Support Helpdesk Engineer

Your Challenges / Your Environment:

Executing a 5 workdays week including Saturday & Sunday work; for example Wednesday – Sunday or Thursday – Monday, etc. (detailed model can be discussed).

Frequently interacting with production- and IT-staff of our customers (manufacturers).

Work in a hybrid model, in-office and work-from-home (WFH).

Up-keeping of internal IT infrastructure (Clients, Server, LAN) within MPDV Malaysia.

Perform structured support helpdesk activities, including documentation in English language.

Support system installations on-premise and in cloud (HYDRA / FEDRA software application, MSSQL database), performing settings & optimizations.

Perform HYDRA / FEDRA configuration activities for our customers – remote or on-site, as agreed.

Perform formal basic trainings to our customers – remote or on-site, as agreed.

Your Personality:

You like IT support helpdesk work.

You like being a problem solver.

You have already learnt to effectively listen, analyse, propose, lead and convince the customer.

You are interested and excited to work in a small & young team that is set to grow over time.

You are interested to work on-site with customers, as well as back in office and being exposed to project team members from different operational areas and cultures.

You are highly self-organized and adhere to good time management and proper activity tracing.

"Production shop floor" environments and cultures are not entirely foreign to you.

Your Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or a Degree with 3 to 5 years of work experience in related fields.

Solid foundation knowledge of Operating Systems (OS), Network (LAN/WAN), DB technologies (ideally “DB Administrator” knowledge/expertise, but not mandatory).

Experience about cluster systems and configurations will be an added advantage, but not mandatory.

Solid SQL query experience, deeper SQL scripting knowledge will be an added advantage.

General exposure / experience in manufacturing/production will be an added advantage.

Experience in industrial automation & connectivity (PLC’s, OPC-DA/UA, MQTT, REST/JSON Web Services) will be an added advantage.

The social ability to blend into an internationally mixed team of young, friendly peers.

Good command of English, Bahasa language, both spoken & written. Chinese language will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.

The successful candidate will get the chance to grow and develop within the expanding infrastructure of MPDV in Malaysia and potentially in ASEAN, if interested.

Initial well-founded training about all job aspects of this Technical Consulting role will be provided in MPDV Malaysia and MPDV Singapore (HYDRA & FEDRA functional & technical, as well as MPDV standard support processes).
