IT Support Engineer
Job description
IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve IT support requests and tickets.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and network services.
- Develop and maintain manuals, and other support documentation.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems.
- Document all incidents and service requests in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as necessary.
IT Infrastructure Administration and Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Ensure system security by implementing and maintaining antivirus and anti-malware solutions.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other IT team members in the region to resolve complex issues.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical users to understand and address their IT needs.
- Provide timely updates and follow-up on support requests.
