IT Security Specialist Position

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team at Boeing Composites Malaysia in Bukit Kayu Hitam.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and supporting security tools and network devices, planning and managing security projects, providing SOC support, server administration, antivirus support, acting as level 1 on-call support, supporting multiple operating systems and documenting security procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Configure and Support Security Tools and Network Devices: Ensure the integrity and security of the organization's IT infrastructure by configuring and supporting security tools and network devices.
2. Plan and Execute Security Projects: Plan, execute, and manage security projects, including but not limited to vulnerability assessments and implementation of security solutions.
3. Provide SOC Support: Provide support for Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring, incident response, and escalation procedures.
4. Administer Servers: Administer servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
5. Manage Antivirus Systems: Manage antivirus systems and endpoint protection, ensuring timely updates, monitoring, and response to antivirus alerts.
6. Patches and Updates: Perform patches, updates, and upgrades on servers and network devices to ensure system stability and security compliance.
7. Level 1 On-Call Support: Act as level 1 on-call support, responding to security incidents, alerts, and inquiries outside of regular business hours.
8. Multiple Operating System Support: Support multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
9. Document Security Procedures: Document security procedures, guidelines, and best practices for systems administration, security operations, and incident response.
10. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures across the organization and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Experience: Proven experience 3 years in configuring and supporting security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) and network devices (e.g., routers, switches).
3. SOC Experience: Experience in supporting SOC operations, including incident detection, analysis, and response.
4. Server Administration: Experience with server administration, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
5. Antivirus Management: Proficiency in managing antivirus systems and endpoint protection solutions.
6. Level 1 On-Call Support: Ability to act as level 1 on-call support, demonstrating responsiveness and effective incident management during off-hours.
7. Security Project Management: Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute security projects from conception to completion.
8. Operating System Support: Hands-on experience supporting multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
9. Documentation Skills: Strong documentation skills with the ability to draft clear and concise security procedures and reports.
10. Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are a plus.
11. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Estimated Salary Range: RM 120,000 - RM 180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
