IT Manager

Farmiera, a leading company in the poultry farming and processing industry, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on IT Manager with strong project management skills and experience in implementing new systems. The ideal candidate will oversee the IT infrastructure across both the farm and processing plant operations, leading a team of IT professionals and ensuring IT services align with business goals. This role requires a leader who can strategize and also provide technical support when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Lead IT projects, including the implementation of new systems across Farmiera’s poultry farm and processing plant operations.
• Develop and manage project plans, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to integrate technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• System Implementation & Integration:
• Oversee the deployment of new systems, ensuring smooth integration with minimal disruption to farm and plant operations.
• Provide hands-on technical support during critical phases of system upgrades and implementations.
• Collaborate with different departments (farm operations, production, etc.) to ensure systems meet operational needs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, providing both strategic direction and technical guidance.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the IT team, ensuring smooth coordination across the farm and processing facilities.
• Manage team performance and individual development plans.
• Technical Expertise:
• Serve as the technical expert, troubleshooting complex issues related to farm operations and processing plant systems.
• Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable operations of networks, servers, and databases.
• Ensure IT services are secure, scalable, and optimized for both the farm and processing plant.
• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with Farmiera’s operational and business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and introduce innovative technologies to improve farming and processing efficiency.
• Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 5-8 years in IT management, with system implementation and project management expertise.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
• Leadership: Strong team leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Other: Strategic mindset, hands-on technical support capability, and occasional travel required.
• Preferred: Certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) and experience in poultry, farming, or food processing industries.
