The IT Manager is responsible for managing all IT system assets and operations in the organization. He/She leads an IT software/hardware team to develop, build, implement, support, and protect the IT infrastructure and application systems required by the organization. This role requires leadership in ensuring up-to-date IT technologies and practices are in place to support the organization’s business operations.
This position is based in Penang and reports to the Senior Vice President (Finance) in Singapore.
Job Description:
- Plan, organize and control the entire operations of the Group IT systems and assets
- Manage a team of IT software/hardware staff to support IT systems and infrastructure operations
- Manage deployment of required software upgrades, enhancements, and fixes
- Implement IT security structures to protect company’s data and information networks
- Manage IT systems backup, archival, and storage for business contingencies usage to ensure minimum downtime to the organization’s operations
- Practice IT continuous improvement to ensure processes are efficient and productive
- Provide business information analysis to the management team leading to business decisions
- Prepare and manage annual IT budgets to ensure investments and expenses are cost-effective
- Provide training and guidance to IT team members
- Participate and provide IT advice/support in projects as assigned
- Manage IT vendors and service providers and related contracts
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a regional IT leadership role
- Experience in managing IT Software/Hardware teams in a 24/7 environment
- Proficient and have working knowledge of the following IT landscape:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system
- Microsoft Office 365 suite of office productivity tools
- Cloud-based platform
- IT laws such as PDPA
- IT security management ISO27001

- Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical, creative, and innovative in thinking
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and multi-tasker
- Able to travel overseas periodically for work assignments
- Conversant in English and Mandarin languages
